General Questions

What type of crowds/attendance do you expect?

As this is our first year, we do not have past attendance numbers. However, we are actively marketing our show throughout the year and expect a good turnout in Seattle, as we are a fiber friendly city.

You can follow us and share our profile on Instagram at @woolandholly.

We are also working on getting flyers and information into many of our local yarn stores throughout the Puget Sound. If you would like to get a Wool & Holly PR packet for your shop, please email woolandholly@gmail.com

What are the show hours?

The marketplace hours are:

  • Saturday, Dec 5th, 10am-5pm (7 hrs)
  • Sunday, Dec 6th, 10am-4pm (6 hrs)
What type of crafts or goods are you hoping to see for this market?

Wool & Holly is a fiber-focused winter makers’ market, so we plan to focus on small businesses selling products in the following categories, in no particular order:

  • Pre-made/Ready-made Items (ceramics, yarn bowls, felted toys, finished knits/crochet items, weavings, art prints, etc.)
  • Giftable Kits to make Fiber Crafts
  • Hand-dyed or Hand-spun Yarn
  • Raw Wool, Roving, or other Fiber Products
  • Needles, Hooks, Notions, or similar Products
  • Project Bags, or similar Sewn Products
  • Embroidery and Cross-stitch Products
  • Weaving Products

Since this market is during prime holiday shopping season, we would like to have a mix of pre-made items, giftable kits to make fiber crafts, and individual makers’ materials available for our shoppers.

If you are a maker of something not on this list, but you think you’d fit right in - apply anyway! This list is not exhaustive of all the fiber related products that we want to showcase.

How do you choose which vendors are selected?

Although we are a first year show, we expect our vendor application rate to be high and want to ensure we create a well-balanced and diverse marketplace.

As such, we will be reviewing all applications as a juried panel which includes both event co-organizers, Cheryl and Jamie, as well as a panel of selected local fiber business owners.

Review of applications will begin after the closing date on July 12th, and the order in which applications were received will not affect vendor selection.

Please understand that interest may exceed the available number of booths, and we will likely not be able to select all applicants for our 2026 Market.

Selected vendors will be notified and sent a vendor contract and payment information by July 31st.

Booth Questions

What is the cost and what’s included in the booth purchase?

Each booth is 10x10ft space and will cost $600 per booth.

Each booth will include:

  • (1) 6ft rectangle table
  • (2) chairs
  • Access to electricity
  • Access to vendor-only wifi
  • 3 vendor passes for you and your staff/helpers*

Each vendor will have access to a secure back room to store their backstock or packaging materials during the show. This room will also include extra tools, tape, boxes, etc. to assist with any set up or tear down needs.

Additionally, we will be providing complimentary vendor-only snacks and drinks on-site.

*if you need additional passes, this can be requested at no additional cost after vendors are selected.

Is there a map of the vendor area or market layout available?

We are still finalizing the layout of the marketplace, which is located in the atrium of the Seattle Design Center. Once we finalize the design, we will share a layout of the space with all selected vendors.

For a graphic visual of the space and some photos of the atrium
, scroll to the top of this page.

Do the booths include walls and/or can I bring a canopy?

No formal signage or walls will be included for your booth, so please plan to bring personal walls, dividers, shelves, and/or signage to help differentiate your booth.

If you’d like to use a tent/canopy, please note that you may only use the frame and must not install the fabric cover due to the sprinkler system in the venue.

Can I get a booth larger than 10x10?

As this is our first year and we want to ensure we have as many vendors as possible, at the time, we have decided to allow only 10x10 booths.

Can I share a booth with another vendor?

A shared booth is defined as two vendors/businesses sharing one space with the intent to vend and sell individual products.

You can apply to have a shared booth, however both vendors will need to apply separately, and note in both applications that you intend to share with the other vendor. All shared booths need to be approved by the event organizers.

Vendors sharing booths should assign one “main vendor” to be the primary contact for paying booth fees, etc.

Can I request a specific location or to be near another vendor?

Once vendors have been selected, we will ask for any specific vendor location needs, including in-line/corner, loud/quiet areas, accessibility requests, etc.

However, please note that first and foremost we will be working to ensure good traffic flow, balanced vendor layout throughout the marketplace, and accessibility needs, so not every request can be accommodated.

Can I get electricity/wi-fi for my booth?

Yes, all vendors will have access to electricity and wi-fi at no additional cost.

Is there any on-site storage outside my booth for backstock?

Yes, all vendors will have access to a secure back room to store their backstock or packaging materials during the show. This room will also include extra tools, tape, boxes, etc. to assist with any set up or tear down needs.

Do I need COI for my booth?

Yes, all vendors will be required to provide COI to the event organizers.

What regional tax do I need to set up to collect?

Our venue is located within Seattle city limits, in King County.

Venue Questions

Where is the show being held & what’s the space like?

The Wool & Holly Winter Market is being held at the Seattle Design Center in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, WA. The address is 5701 6th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108.

Our marketplace will be located inside the main atrium space, which is a two story space with bright skylights. Vendor booths will be centrally located in the atrium, with aisles between vendor rows as well as all the way around the atrium. Community tables will also be located throughout so patrons have a place to sit and knit together.

For a visual diagram and photos of the space, scroll up to the top of this page.

What is the accessibility of the venue for vendors?

The marketplace is located on the ground floor in the atrium of the building. There are no level changes or steps/stairs required to access the space.

  • Access to the atrium is step-free and barrier-free from both the main vendor parking area and from the loading dock.
  • Booth layout and aisles are designed to ADA specifications and allow ample space for patrons and vendors to maneuver.
  • Chairs are included in every booth so you can sit during the event
  • We will be designating a “quiet corner” of the marketplace (vendors can request this corner)
  • Two sets of restrooms are located near the atrium. One set has accessible stalls within gendered restrooms. The other set has gendered restrooms with a separate gender-neutral accessible toilet

For additional information on our accessibility considerations for the event as a whole, please see About the Show (coming soon).

Please note that while we do have designated quiet/masked hours during the event, masks will not be required for all attendees and vendors for the entirety of the marketplace hours.

Once selected, we will also be asking vendors for any specific accommodation requests so you will have the opportunity to let us know about any additional needs before the event. If you have any concerns or questions before you apply, please email us at woolandholly@gmail.com.

Is there parking available & where does load-in happen?

Yes - we’re happy to say there is free off-street parking for this venue.

During set up/load-in, vendors will pull up along the side of the venue and load in through a garage door/loading dock. This is a ground level dock and does not require steps/lift. Once your vehicle is unloaded, you’ll be able to pull it around the back to the vendor parking area.

Customer parking will be available in the front of the building and we ask that vendors reserve that space for our patrons during the marketplace hours.

Additional photos and information regarding load-in will be provided closer to the event to help with planning.

What are the food options available for vendors?

While we do not have on-site food trucks during the event, we have several nearby options for food:

  • Complimentary snacks and drinks provided for vendors
  • Free hot cocoa in our Community Space
  • Marketplace snacks (pre-packaged cookies and cakes available for purchase)
  • Local Coffee stand across the alley
  • Local pub options (more info coming soon)

Vendors are also allowed to bring personal food on-site and will be able to store either in their booth or in our on-site storage space.

What if I have other questions about the venue/show generally?
